Panetone Forecast Spring 2009

Think Easter eggs, jelly beans, watercolors and you’ve got Spring!  Is that really any different than any other year? Probably not.  But what I am seeing is a twist on the pairing of colors; a bright yellow top with a purple belt cinched around the middle, light grey trousers and a pale purple handbag.  Different shades of bright colors brought together in unique combinations.  Let’s be subtle though ladies, don’t throw a bright orange skirt on with a bright green top and a fluorescent pink handbag, Yikes, call the fashion police!  Instead throw in a neutral; a slate blue/grey skirt, a sherbet orange tank and a pink/orange/yellow stripe cardigan, then add a WOW! a pair of bright patent yellow cork wedges on your perfectly mani’d feet.  Really cute and super Springy!  I’m off to Vegas for the Accessories Show and I’m not coming back without unique color bags, belts and scarves, so get ready!  Oh! What do you think about KatieKay.com adding men’s accessories, not bright Easter egg colors of course, but I’m thinking some really cool accessories for the fella’s, I’ll be lookin’.

Well Christmas is over once again, another year gone by.  It’s so fun to put it all up and so hard to take it all down.  I love the look of the house at Christmas, it seems to sparkle and glow all on it’s own even when the lights are not lit.  Cody Foster is a big part of my decor for Christmas and every year I add something new from his collection.  Next year I am adding a few new holiday lines to compliment my  Cody Foster, Bethany Lowe, Walnut Ridge , KD Vintage and Boardwalk Originals collections.  This month I will be buying Midwest of Cannon Falls, Raz, & Katherine’s Collection for Christmas 2008.  They are all beautiful and have the vintage reproduction look me and all my customers love.  I thought I would share a few pictures of mine and my sister’s holidays decorations with you.
