The Art of Writing; be authentic, be true to you…
As you may have guessed, I just took a little writing seminar, or writing exercise class if you will. I am not a writer, never have been, I just play one on TV, jk… So, I thought why not get a writer’s opinion on how I’m doing with my little blog. I try not to be too critical of myself and I really do write how I talk. Is that a good thing I ask, yes, yes it is. Ok cool, I’m on the right track. So how can I improve? Well I really knew the answer to this; better word usage (the correct spelling for the right context, says the Chief of the Grammar Police, my husband), yeah, yeah I know Dude! Check and re-check with spell check, OK, OK! Write about what you know and what you like. I will never be the great amercian writer, I cannot and will not write fluffy fiction with soft flowing words and tons of metaphors, ick! I write quippy and silly, “stick to blogging Katie”, good idea! Read my blog if you like, don’t if you don’t…doesn’t hurt my feelings one bit. Like I said I am not a writer, but Hey! my 7th grade english teacher Mrs. Larsen?, said “you have the gift of gab”, doesn’t that mean something?

Ok I lied, I’m just envious that I couldn’t write a fluffy fiction story if my life depended on it, Huh!
